The BISAC subject codes are the industry standard genre-specific categories that you include on the back cover of your book so retailers online and offline know how to categorize and shelve your title—for example “Juvenile Fiction,” “Biography,” etc. A complete list of those categories can be found here .

BISG is looking for input to help inform the activities of their BISAC Subject Codes Committee in 2011 and beyond. Please take a moment to fill out a brief, eight-question survey about subject areas in which you feel the Committee should focus.
