Kicking off the 25th annual IBPA Publishing University on Friday, April 26, 2013 will be the opening keynote presented by Guy Kawasaki, former chief evangelist at Apple, founder of several tech companies, including Garage.com and author of 10 books including the most recent, APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur/How to Publish a Book.
 Dominique Raccah
Dominique Raccah, Publisher of Sourcebooks and David Houle, futurist and author of the newly-released Entering The Shift Age, will be the Saturday luncheon keynote speakers. Raccah, founder of the largest woman-owned trade publisher in the country, is a digital publishing pioneer and continues to innovate in the e-book and book app space. David Houle, regarded as a leading authority and trend forecaster, has spoken to groups worldwide and was awarded a “Speaker of the Year” award from Visage International.
Allen Lau of Wattpad, the reading/writing community boasting more than 10 million monthly visitors, Matthew Cavnar of Vook, and others will appear on a panel moderated by Christopher Kenneally of the Copyright Clearance Center, discussing how to self-publish for success.

Author of The Self Publishing Manual Dan Poynter, Mark Coker of Smashwords, and Brian Felsen of Bookbaby will also be featured along with more than 50 industry experts presenting a day and a half of programs designed to provide independent publishers of one book or many with the hands-on, how-to tools they need to promote, market and sell more books.
