Access to the latest BISAC Subject Codes will now be free and unrestricted on the BISG Web site, where browsers will also find a tutorial, FAQs, and other information on how to use the codes.

Announcing the move to provide free access, the Book Industry Study Group noted that the complete list will continue to be distributed free to BISG members (in Excel, Word, and XML packages) with an end-user license (EULA), which will allow them to incorporate the list in their systems and databases.

Nonmembers with needs unmet by the free online service who want to incorporate the BISAC Codes into their internal systems will now be able to obtain an annual license.
