SUBMIT YOUR NOMINEES FOR THE BOOK INDUSTRY STUDY GROUP’S (BISG’S) 2016 INDUSTRY AWARDS
NEW YORK, NY, July 29th, 2016 – The Book Industry Study Group (BISG), is asking members to submit nominees for the 2016 Industry Awards, which will be presented at their Annual Meeting of Members on September 30th, 2016. The BISG 2016 Industry Awards will recognize outstanding contributions and achievements in the publishing ecosystem. The four awards are:
- BISG Lifetime Service Award: In recognition of an individual’s outstanding work on behalf of BISG over the course of a career.
- BISG Volunteer of the Year: In recognition of the recipient’s commitment to solving industry challenges and finding new opportunities by working collaboratively with industry peers.
- BISG Industry Champion Award: For an individual whose efforts have gone beyond the requirements of his or her position to advance the publishing industry while embracing BISG’s mission.
- BISG Industry Innovation Award: For the company or individual who boldly re-imagines what publishing is and can be. This is the only award that is open to individuals or companies that are not members of BISG.

Last year’s recipients include industry veteran Tom Clarkson, book discovery service provider Trajectory, Connie Harbison of Baker & Taylor, and Firebrand’s Fran Toolan. BISG has an Awards Jury that will select both short lists and final winners for each of the Awards.
