How it works:
Currently mailed quarterly (January, April, July, and October) to approximately 3,400 chain and independent booksellers across the U.S. Mailing list is purchased from DM2. However, most orders will be sent to your listed distributors/wholesalers since booksellers do not like to write individual orders to a variety of publishers but prefer writing one order to a distributor/wholesaler and receiving a variety of publishers’ books.
IBPA designs four-color catalogs featuring a front cover picture of your book, along with a 100-word description. Also included are ISBN, price, a maximum of three distributors/wholesalers, and publishing company’s name and address (which is not included as part of the 100-word description). All descriptive paragraphs will be edited to meet the 100-word requirement.
After your registration has been processed, you will receive an email requesting your title information.

What to Expect from Bookstore Cooperative Mailings:
Best case: Many orders from bookstores.
Average case: A modest amount of bookstore orders over the next six months.
Worst case: Exposure to the market.
Due to the nature of cooperative marketing, it is possible that the mailing for which you register may be temporarily delayed or rescheduled.
