by Angela Bole, CEO, Independent Book Publishers Association —
“Keep Austin Weird” is the slogan adopted by the Austin Independent Business Alliance to promote independent businesses in Austin, Texas. As the Independent Book Publishers Association, we can certainly get on board with that! That’s why we’re bringing the annual IBPA Publishing University and IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards™ ceremony back to Austin, Texas, on April 6-7, 2018 (with preconference sessions all day April 5).
It’s been three years since IBPA Publishing University was held in the Longhorn State. I hope to see you there!
What is IBPA Publishing University?
IBPA Publishing University is the one time each year that IBPA members join together with options for inspiration, peer learning, in-depth exploration, and hands-on training across a wide range of book publishing subjects. During this three-day event, you’re in control of your own professional development; you can tailor a list of classes, workshops, and one-on-one consultations that make sense for you and your business. This is YOUR conference. It starts and ends with you.
I’m confident that this 30th annual IBPA Publishing University will be a catalyst for growth and opportunity for all IBPA members. As you’re considering whether to join us for the event, please don’t hesitate to email me questions at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’m happy to help.
